About

Macleod Cottage is an ideal getaway for small families or couples  on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland. Our minimum stay is three nights, rather than the usual seven, affording you more flexibility for your holiday.

The house sleeps up to four adults, plus any children under the age of two. There is a double bed downstairs. Upstairs, there is a double bed and a single bed. A cot, bed guards and a stair gate are available.

The house is on a quiet road in the village of Ness, looking out over the Port of Ness and the lighthouse. There are sea views from every room.

Ness itself has a lot of things to do and Stornoway is just 35 minutes away by car. There are regular buses from the road just outside the house.

The house was my grandfather's and has been in the family for a long time. Our family business Breanish Tweed, was based on the croft, supplying cloth to bespoke tailors and fashion houses around the world.

I fully renovated it recently and it is very comfortable, with underfloor heating (an air source heat pump) and a wood burning stove. The house is licensed as a short-term let with the local Council.

Do get in touch on our Google Business Page ( "Macleod Cottage Isle of Lewis") or on our Booking.com page with any questions relating to your visit to the island. Here is our location on Google maps.

It's a great place to relax and we look forward to welcoming you.
